Who am I?
My name is Kat, and I’m a Canadian in my early thirties. I grew up in a city called St. John’s on the island of Newfoundland on the east coast of Canada. Neither of my parents is from Newfoundland, so during summer holidays, we would often visit relatives in Singapore, Scotland and other parts of Canada. I looked forward to these trips every year, and I dreamed of exploring more of the world on my own someday. Growing up, I loved flipping through the pages of my atlas, reading about other cultures and looking at beautiful photos of other countries.
In university, I studied Marketing, International Business, and French. During and after a semester abroad in France, I visited many countries in Europe and I fell in love with travel all over again! So far, I’ve been to almost 50 countries. I want to visit all 7 continents (yes, including Antarctica!) and explore as many countries as possible during my lifetime.
Favourite Places I’ve Visited:
• The Galapagos Islands
• Iceland
• Cappadocia, Turkey
• Japan
• Malta
My Dream Travel Experiences:
• Antarctica
• Easter Island
• Patagonia
• Iguazu Falls
• Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
• South Pacific (Tonga, Cook Islands, Tahiti, etc.)
• An African Safari
• Madagascar
• The Maldives
• Chefchaouen, Morocco
